Ward, as you know the earth is many billions of years old and yet civilization still exists. In fact, from the caveman days to this century, people have always existed. The s0-called caveman, at that time, had a very limited consciousness and spirituality. When they died, however, they also went to heaven as they had a soul as well as a spirit as well as an identity.
In heaven over the years, years as in your earth time, they developed higher spiritually and proceeded up the levels of heaven. Many choose to return to earth with new identities, maybe centuries later. In fact, some people on earth in 2018 may have been cavemen in their earlier time. How is that for a question?
Once they passed in their time or whatever, they, because of their souls, went to heaven. There they had their own community and could remain like that for eternity or as I said they could decide to move on and reincarnate.
