Grief and the Holidays
[This is December 18th and the Holidays are fast approaching. Do you have any suggestions and help for those who have lost loved ones to get through the Holidays?]
Sue: One of the main ways is to have them realize that there is no death, just a transfer of their loved one’s mind, consciousness, who they are, their personality, to a different world, a world that those on Earth and the Bible call Heaven, my realm now.
As you once felt in a dream with when our spirits touched briefly, the unbelievable amount of love and joy which is so strong that there is no feeling like that on Earth. That is the way I feel all the time.
For some, it is difficult to believe that [there is no loss in earthly death] and that is when they should stop, pray or meditate in silence and maybe their loved ones will come through to them in some way; and if not, then maybe some day later, if they look for signs. Loved ones now on the other side all want to come through to those people who are willing to really listen and believe.
Both Christmas and Easter are celebrated because Jesus, the Christ lives, and showed everyone that there is no death by being resurrected. If one believes that, really believes that, their grief should vanish. That is not so say that even if one believes in life after death, there will not be some sadness as memories linger on, as they should
If they don’t believe [in life after death], then why are they celebrating and sad over the Holidays? If they don’t believe, then why celebrate? Just treat [the holidays] like any other day and then they won’t have a need to be sad at Holiday time.
When people realize that there is no loss in the earthly death, when they can really believe that, then grief has not won out and hopefully they can move on to enjoy the rest of their earthly life.
